April 28, 1999

The modifications in the calendar have been made. Please note the changes in assigned readings for Weeks 15 - 17.

More samples of student original creative pieces have been added to the Student Portfolio. Check out the poem by Ana Nieto, the short story by Todd Tomita, and the personal essay by Eddie Becerra.

Your Paper # 2 submissions will be evaluated and returned by May 11.

Remember: we do not have a final exam in this class. Rather, you are required to attend the final exam period (May 18) for our final class session. See the Calendar for details.

All author pages are now completed (except Walt Whitman).

February 17, 1999

Authors and readings for Unit III have now been finalized. Note that Reading Journal Submission # 3 is now due on May 6, and Paper/Original Piece # 3 is due on May 13. (These submission due dates were originally reversed.)

Reading Journals will not be returned until Feb. 23. Sorry, but they're just too interesting to read!

Has anyone located a "Br'er Rabbit Molasses" label?!
