Juxtaposing Subjects

Juxtaposing subjects is a fun and creative way to generate topics you otherwise might not have thought of. Select one subject from your List of Potential Subjects. Place it randomly next to another subject from your list. When two subjects are juxtaposed in this manner, a fresh (and often highly original) topic will quickly become apparent. Juxtapose other subjects to make a list of more potential topic ideas.

For example, the writer below has placed "Crime in America" next to "Ecology." The new topic to emerge is "the ecological impact of crime in America" (how's that for original?).
