Assignment 4A - List of Main Points
Helpful Hints
  1. Main points must be phrased as complete sentences.

  2. Main points are generally just one sentence long. For your list of three main points, you need only three sentences.

  3. In your research paper, it will take several paragraphs to develop your main point.

  4. Main points are NOT simply restatements of the thesis. They offer an explanation of "why" or "how" your thesis is true.

  5. It may be helpful to include key words from your thesis in your main point. That will insure your main points are directly related to your thesis.
