Assignment 4C - One Main Point Developed with Subpoints and Evidence
Helpful Hints
  1. This assignment represents approximately one-third of your paper, since you are developing one of the three main points from your List of Main Points. Once you have written Assignment 4C, you are about one-third finished with your paper.

  2. Your main point is one sentence long. Generally, it is best to write it as the first sentence of the first paragraph.

  3. Subpoint # 1 should be the second sentence of the first paragraph; the rest of the paragraph should develop Subpoint # 1.

  4. Subpoint # 2 should be the first sentence of the second paragraph; the rest of the paragraph should develop Subpoint # 2.

  5. You should have at least two subpoints, which represent two separate paragraphs.

  6. You will have additional paragraphs for Subpoint # 3, Subpoint # 4, etc. (if you have more than two subpoints).

  7. Don't forget to insert parenthetical references in your paragraphs whenever you have borrowed information from another source.

  8. Don't forget to include a Works Cited page that lists all works you have cited in parenthetical references in your paragraphs.

  9. You will probably need to conduct additional research to find the specific evidence you need for each subpoint.
