Problem: While much progress has been made in computer technology, there are still many challenges to overcome in computer-to-human interface before creating more empowering machines.
Question: How will the development of new technologies affect the way we work with computers?
Tentative Thesis
Statement:
Improved human-computer interface will create a powerful global intelligence.

Topic: The closing of military bases in the United States.
Problem: The land that military bases occupy could be used for many other purposes; however, the cost to convert military bases to community property would be excessive due to the cleanup involved.
Question: How would a community use former miltary bases?
Tentative Thesis
Statement:
Building an airport from an existing military airport may be the most logical use for a number of military bases.

Problem: Technological advances have increased exponentially, while American standards of eduation have gone down.
Question: How will the ever decreasing standards of American education affect technology in the future?

Statement:
Lower educational standards have malequipped our future workforce to continue the exponential growth in technology that has been present during the last thirty years.
