| What is the assignment? | First, review pp. 114-19 in the MLA
Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (5th ed.) regarding MLA
documentation style and the Works Cited page. Then, skim pp.119-49 in
the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers to learn proper
format for listing books on a Works Cited page. Finally, skim pp. 183-86
to learn proper format for listing books accessed online.
To demonstrate your understanding of MLA Works Cited format for books, locate two books related to your Research Paper Topic and list them on a Works Cited page in proper MLA format. These should be the most promising two books you located throughout Phase 1 (review the pages beginning with "MLA Works Cited: Books"). |

| How do I submit the assignment? | Submit your Works Cited page to Kenn via WebCT e-mail, as an attachment (see "Submitting/Reading an Attachment" for instructions on how to submit assignments via e-mail). Use MLA paper format for your submission (standard margins, header, etc.) and simply title your document, Works Cited. |
