Topic: Desensitization of violence through the media
Problem: Violence in the media is reported by many to contribute to violent behavior and aggression, increasing America's high murder rate and promoting violence against women. On the other hand, critics argue that television has become a scapegoat for America's high rate [of] violent crimes.
Question: Does media violence harm society and influence individuals to act more aggressively and violently?
Tentative Thesis
Statement:
Many young children become more aggressive after viewing violent material because of the imitation of the characters by the children.
